      t10 hard downshift

I have a super t10 that downshifts hard from 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st. It upshifts ok and the 4-3 is ok. Does not grind you just have to shift pretty hard. I did not notice it before I changed shifters to a Hurst super shift. The old shifter had a huge gate and a long lever. Is this a syncro issue? No idea on the last time the tranny was overhauled, I bought it used.

Maybe the trans is binding because you are not disengaging the clucth completely ?

Do you have enough clutch air gap ??
If the clutch isn't disengaging all the way , you'll have problems shifting in either direction.

Maybe adjust the clutch a little tighter , like with less freelay.
That will disengage the clutch a little further.
I'm having a similar problem with my TKO.
So , I'm trying to sort out some issues of my own..

A slightly warped clutch will cause it as well. First the basics.

Are you running the correct tranny fluid? The correct fluid is critical to allow the brass syncros to align the speed gears.

If there is a big enough difference in shift lever length, you will need a little more effort with the shorter lever.

Learn to double clutch. (Sorry, had to throw that out there.)

I think the clutch is adjusted correctly. As I said, the 4-3 and 3-2 downshift is not bad with the 3-2 being a little harder than the 4-3. I am running 90 gear lube. Not sure if that is the correct lube or not. Any suggestions on lube? The clutch and pressure plate are new with less than 1,000 miles. I guess that does not mean it is flat.

You should be running conventional GL4 or GL5 85w-90. People some times put synthetics in, but they don't create enough friction.
