      Body Mounts

I dont know if this is the right catagory. I need to change the body mounts on my 67 Buick GS 400 convertible.
The kit is coming in a few days I havn't crawled under the car to see where they are either.
Does anyone have a diagram to where they are?
Does anyone know a trick to replacing them, a particular order?
How do I jack up the body to change them?
I only have jackstands and two jacks.
      PLease help me!

      Thanx in advance.

      Mike

About the only advice I can give is take measurements from the pinch weld to the out side of the frame rail before you start unbolting stuff. Only do one side of the car at a time. When I did mine (S-10) I just used a 2' piece of 2x4 under the pinch weld and a jack.

The first place I would look is the GM Chassis Service Manual for your car. The factory Service Manuals and Chassis Service Manuals contain a ton of info.

Having said that, I would see if it might be possible to slightly loosen the mounts on one side, then see if you can replace the mounts on the other side. I'd check closely for fuel lines and brake lines - things that run along a frame rail.

I'd also make sure I had an impact driver to get those bolts loose. And use something like PB Blaster to soak what you can a day or two prior to attempting to get those bolts loose.
