How about a section for jobs?

What do you guys think about a section in the classified for Jobs. If you need to hire someone or are in need of a job that is automotive related?

I've seen a few jobs filled on this site already and think it might get used. Please vote and let me know wha you think.

Yes, we need that function. I found my 1st employee from this site, and we will be looking for more shortly.

I would say that you should just post in the open section since there are so few post about jobs, that way everyone would see it. If you are looking for a job then you would check the job forum, but with it being in the open section then you people may read it and tell a friend or someone they work with? Just throwing ideas out, just trying to think which way would see more action. I look at almost all the new post but some probably don’t. so they may miss it. Just thinking out loud

I have to agree James. I fear that the section would get loaded down with BS and people would not really use it as the tool it could be for both employer and employee. The key jobs that have been filled here were done on open forum or outhouse. I think everyone would still use those two sections for the key jobs anyway.
Looking at the poll on the voting, I am in the minority so what do I know? I would just suggest that there be strick rules if it were done.

Well we could have it Locked and only Larry could post job openings? People that have job openings would have to email or PM Larry with the info. That would weed out the BS.

I think it would be a good idea as I am looking to go to school and change carreers.

      Tim,
I am sure that is just what Larry needs-one more thing to do for this site. But then again if he could get a finders fee for putting the deal together

I'd give it its own section, all the posts would get lost in the general section, and 15 stickies at the top would stink too.

Well I think its an excelent idea, however I think it should be two different areas one for those seeking employment, and another for job openings.

Another reason for why this seems to be suck a great idea is that when considering people the employer can just look up the persons old posts in order to form a better picture of the persons actual skills, rather than having to hire the person based on their word to then find out.

      Now for the shameless plug!!!
If anyone is looking for an assistant in the san francisco bay area I am very knowledgeable for my age (17) and what I dont know I'll pick up very quick, I spend all my time either on my own car or at my auto shop so I figure I may as well try and make a few bucks at it.

Thanks everyone for your input. I have decided to create a job section. I will work on the wording for the section later but, for now we have two new sections. I will set this section to prune threads automatically after maybe 3 months to keep it fresh.
