      Hey Shafi...

Is there any chance that you could work on Tremec to do the standard ZR1 ratios... in a "Magnum" (ala. TR6060) box for LSx applications ??

Or... do you think off the top of your head... that the cluster will fit into the f-body box with minimal modifications ??

      Hi Chicane67,

If the new ZR-1 has these ratios there is a fair chance I could build a special Magnum. I'll check into this.

The Magnum case is different - it's beefed up considerably - see attached pics. However, we could get the shifter very close to exactly in the same position as F-car 1993-2002.

Thank you Sir. There are a few awaiting this answer... with baited breath.

Thanks for the tid-bit of info on the internals of the case... I have yet to get my hands into a TR6060 yet to tinker.

BTW... this is Tom from ProGear in San Diego. Talk to you soon...

      T-56 MAGNUM Race Ratios

      Hi Tom,

I spoke with Tremec engineering today and will learn more about the possibility soon.

I'll be in southern California again in another few weeks. If I can get time to swing by and visit with you I will. You are welcome to come visit with me in Huntington Beach at D&P Classic (dpchevy.com). They are our southern California Master Distributor stocking location aka "Keisler Engineering West." They have a Magnum PerfectFit kit there right now going behind an LS-7.

      I'll be in touch.

      Nice website, BTW!

      Shafi

I learned that this tooling is GM's, and therefore Tremec can't make parts for the aftermarket. They are interested in this for aftermarket, but I wouldn't expect to see anything from them for at least another year.

Next, we should check to see if the gears can be sourced from GM parts...
