      Question for painter

We recentlly painted my Camaro with Dupont basecoat clearcoat, over catalyzed primer and sealer. We color sanded the car in the booth soon after painting. It has been a couple of months since the job was completed and now I can see a faint almost micro orange peel . My question is,how long should I wait to cut it again? We put four coats of clear on black and silver. I don't want to go through the clear. First cut was with 1000 grit,I thought we would use 1500 for the final or should I go finer yet?

      buff

you can do it anytime, i would bump up to 2000-2500, it will buff alot easier not needing as much heat as it takes to get 1500 scratches out, goodluck

I will go to 2000-2500 ,I really try to stay away from the edges. I will use a soft pad for the final buff too, should keep the heat down. Thanks,I appreciate your info. It takes so much to get the car to this point as you know.
