      GTO seat headrest removal

Without tearing the seat down, can you remove the headrests?

      And if so, how?

Are you smellin what I'm steppin in?

Based on your other post, you are referring to late model seats. All you have to do is hold in the button at the base of the headrest while pulling up.

mcmlxix did you also put in the gto seats in the rear? I am putting them on in a 71 chevelle and need to get some pointers. I have seen a couple of threads pm some people and have been very helpful. I would like to see more of the mods that are need to make them work. Seems like no one really took pics of that.

      Thank you.

I tried that and when I push the button in and yank upward, it is like they are locked in there.

On the side without the button you should have a small hole in the plastic trim cover. Use a small nail and push in while pulling the headrest up. Or you can pop the cover off and you will see what you need to do
