      f-22 crash

For those interested in info on the F-22 crash today, the pilot unfortunately didnt make it. LtCol (Ret) David Cooley USAF, AKA "Cools" call sign Dagger 2 for the F117A. Was a great pilot and commander. Also a very good friend of mine.

      Dale,

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend and also someone who chose to serve his country.

Cools must have been one hell of a pilot to be chosen to fly both the F-22 and the F117A.

I had heard about the crash yesterday, I just assumed the pilot ejected. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. Our country has lost a talented pilot.

Yes, Colonel Cooley was a Lockheed Martin test pilot. It's a high-risk job, and my thoughts go to his family.

I am sorry to hear about LtCol (Ret) David Cooley's passing. As we all know being a test pilot is very dangerous by its nature. He was a great pilot to be allowed to test and fly both the F-22 and F-117A. We have done work on both of those aircraft so it hits close to home...Our prayers are for him and his family.
