      I need some seat ideas.

At first I wanted late 90's Trans Am seats, then it was C5 Vette sport seats, I saw some pics of Celica seats that looked like the Vette seats:

If I go the route of aftermarket seats, what are some have feel good, work well for some high G cornering & aren't too expensive?

      Thanks

I picked up some 04-06 GTO seats front and back. Both front are full power, they are great. You may have to have upholstry work done to remove the GTO logo.

      Good Luck

My daily driver is an Audi TT, and the seats in that were so comfortable and supportive, I bought a set for $100 on ebay and I'm putting them in my Torino.

Leather and heated! And none of that stupid power adjustment crap to break. I mean, honestly - how much do you need to adjust your seat?

Tony, I'm gonna look at the junk yards around here for the Celica seats, they look like C5 Vette ones & possibly lots cheaper. I think my second route may be to check on late model GTO seats & see if the fronts & backs can be implemented into the Monte.

Keep your eyes out for Hyundai Tibouron seats. I threw a set in my car and they work well for me. I've seen them in grey leather, with either leather inserts, or cloth inserts with red or blue fleck. They work for me...

I dunno if you like the houndstooth or not but Arizen Racing seats with Houndstooth (or just plain black). They have a matching rear seat cover as well (what I plan on going with):

I would also recommend Arizen Racing Seats.

      http://www.arizenracingsports.com/

The seats in my C5 Z06 are supportive, but they leave a lot to be desired in hard cornering. They grip fairly tight around the rib area, but I still find myself squeezing the steering wheel to hold myself in place at times.

I sold my '01 SS before I had a chance to install my Arizen seats, but just from sitting in them it was evident that they are very supportive and will hold the driver in place during hard cornering. I sold them to Mary Pozzi and she had nothing but good things to say about them.

ie used Kirkey aluminums on a vette (economy layback). really frigging uncomfortable, even with the covers. but unparalleled support.

spent quite a few miles in a set of summit sport seats, and liked them. my only complaint is where thr front of the seat rises, cutting into the ack of your legs and making them go numb azfter a while. probably couldve been solved wih a better mounting angle for the base.

i just completed an install of APC sport seats in the diveabeater. so far, great support, but not that comfortable. and also a thick bas, requiriring either lowered tracks, or completely custom bracketry. or you just deal with sitting high.

lastly, i used to date a girl with a celica GTS hn i lived in eastern TN. spent a lot of time beating on that thing all over the mountains. not enough lateral support. same with the C% seats. they look like theyd have great support, but dont.

hope that helps. seats to me are the most important part of a car.
most comfortable ive ever had were 03 WRX, an 03Mazda protege5 seats. id almost kill for another set of WRX seats...
