Brake Line Routing Question -First Gen

I'm converting from a CPP Front Disk/Rear Drum set-up to a C5 set-up from Kore3. I'm sure Tobin can answer the question but don't wish to bug him tonight.

I have a quick question about brake line routing on the front.

Currently my front brake lines each connect seperately to the front of my proportioning valve, which hangs directly under the master cylinder. I'm trying to keep the appearance of this installation clean, so with that said do I run a single line down to the frame and create a "Y" junction of some sort, and then run feeders to each left and right front brake assembly? I'd rather not have the junction directly under the master cylinder unless it compromises performance.

      Please advise

Your master cylinder is single or dual reservoir?

It sounds like you have a single reservoir to a distribution block.

In my limited knowledge of brake systems, my understanding is the prop valve only needs to be connected to the line feeding the rear brakes, to adjust the lockup point of the rear brakes.

      In my opinion, you'd run:
      • an appropriately sized bore dual reservoir master cylinder,
      • with the prop valve attached to the rear line / reservoir only,
      • with a single front feed line down to the frame from the front reservoir, with some coils to allow for body to subframe flex,
      • followed by a tee near where the drivers front caliper must be routed to over the drivers subframe,
      • with the passenger front feed following the subframe crossmember under the oil pan, routed up and over the passenger subframe.
      • I don't see the point of running a distribution block, unless it has a switch to feed a brake failure indicator.

      Thanks for the reply.

I am running a dual reservoir master cylinder, and you are confirming how I wanted to run the lines.

      Appreciate the input.
