First gen ls1 problems help needed.
IVE GOT THE LS1/6MT RUNNING IN THE FIRST GEN. RUNS LIKE CRAP THOUGH. F/P IS GOOD 55-60 PSI, NO MILs. CAR HOLDS VERY LOW IDLE AND HAS VERY BAD THROTTE RESPONSE. WHEN I TRY TO HOLD THE RPMS UP, THE ENGINE SPEED DROPS THEN PICKS BACK UP TO WHAT I WAS HOLDING THE RPMS AT. THIS IS MY SECOND LS SWAP AND IVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT COULD BE GOING ON?

Unplug the MAF sensor and see if that helps.
03-04-2009 #3First off....your Caps Lock button is stuck in the on position.
Secondly, I would thing you have a vacuum leak. Check all hoses. Do you have an SES light on? If so, get a scan tool and check it out. If that's not the case, you need to get a scan tool that can read live data. If you can look at individual sensors while it's running, you can figure out the problem rather quickly.

i unplugged the maf and no change. i checked all the hoses and connections, everything is good. ive has a scanner hooked up the entire time its been running. all the sensors have readings and everyhting seems to check out ok. I am starting to think that maybe theres an issure with the modified harness or the ecu programming. I sent it all back to have it re-checked.

As mentioned on LS1tech it could be stuck injectors fom sitting. Try running some injector cleaner through it? Also could be your TPS.

03-04-2009 #6Re-check your fuel pressure.
Put the pressure gauge on the car. Turn the key on. You should have XX amount of fuel pressure. When you turn the key off, the fuel pressure should not drop immediately. It should drop slowly....about 2 to 5 PSI per minute. Any faster and you have a problem somewhere. Faulty regulator, fuel leak, leaking injectors.....could be a number of things.
