      What would a bad MAP Sensor do??

      Just wondering if I had a bad MAP Sensor what the tell tail signs be? What would the engine run like, or would it??

      sputtering, missfiring.

      Do this. Open your hood, find the MAF, unplug it and take it for a drive. Your check engine light will be on but will run perfect without it. I guarantee you wont even be able to tell the difference. See if your symptoms go away.

      The engine will run off of the MAP sensor without the MAF and will correct any MAF related problems without it plugged in. As soon as you plug your MAF back in the check engine light will go away.

      So if the MAP sensor is bad will it run with the MAF unplugged??

      no it will run much better without it plugged in.

      If the MAF sensor is good it wont change at all.

      OK that will tell me if the MAF is good. But my concern is with the MAP sensor..

      How can I check that??

      Oh man im sorry! I completely misread that! I was replying in another thread about a MAF sensor at the same time i was posting here just misread it the whole time haha. I'm not sure how to test it. I dont think you can unplug it and get the engine to run without it. Not sure how to test it either.
