      Suggestions & Direction on tires

I've finally moved a bit forward on my ratty 46 pro-touring ride.

As much as I wanted to run some huge steamroller tires I resisted the temtation & didn't really want to tub or even mini tub my cpe. With that said I've limited my tire size options ........plus the cost was a bit out of reach at this time.

I'm running a SBC with intercooled turbo with 5 spd. trans into a FAB9 with 4:11 gears. A decent performance tire will be needed.

I looked at many wheels & finally decided to purchase these:

      a factory set of pantera wheels - 7 X 15 fronts & 8 X 15 rears.

Now my delema - what tire to run?? I'd like the best performance tire that is availible. I'd also like a taller tire in the rear than the fronts. Last but not least I'd like as least amount of sidewall as posible.

Any suggestions??? Who to get them from??

check places like Tire Rack and Discount Tires Direct. shop the 15 inch sizes, obviously. I believe that some good performance rubber from Kumho or Hankook maybe Nitto will fit the bill. for 15x7 i think that something like a 245/50/15 would work. The 15x8 try something like a 275/50/15 or similar sizes. That said the 15" diameter will limit you in choices of performance rubber. I would recommend 17" wheels for a world of options.

      Thanks JR.

I dig them too - that's why I ended up with them. I figure most people won't really know what they are either. Plus they are super lightweight.

I'll have them skinned up soon & ready for mock up.
