      Calif Speedway Fontana March 28th.

      Calif Speedway Fontana March 28th.

On Saturday March 28th, California Speedway Will be hosting two racing organizations: I've been invited to attend FOR FREE,and can have their huge infield parking lot for our rides. We did a car show there
years ago, and for those of you who went, it was a kick. These racing series feature lots of heavily modded racing mustangs, some of which push 180 MPH. We will be in the middle of the action in the infield, with full access to the pits. The San Diego SVTOA was supposed to do a huge car show
on this date, but the thing never got going, and now it's open to whatever we want to do. So I figure we will have our own get together. The doors open at 6:00 AM, I am getting there at 10:00 AM. You come in off Cherry Ave from the 10 Freeway, tell the person at the gate that you are there for the NASA races, and that Vicki Griffin approved this. Sign the waiver, and drive in. If you plan on coming please respond back on this post with the number of cars. If you want to caravan with the Outlaws, meet at JAX donuts at Imperial Highway and 57 Freeway in Brea, at 9:00 AM. Hope to see you all there.

This sounds awesome. I've always wanted to see a NASA event and especially an American Iron race. Shoot, do you think if we had enough space and cones we could set up a small autocross . . . just dreaming.

Anyway, this isn't connected to the Super Chevy show, right? Or is that the one you said isn't going to happen?

I'd definitely want to head down in my Trans Am. I'll double check my schedule and then confirm in a day or two.

      Chuck,

They moved my son's baseball game to 3:00pm. I don't think we'll be able to make it in time.

I hadn't been to a Super Chevy Show since they were at Orange County, 23-25 years ago. Went today and couldn't believe how small it was.
