      pro-touring rat style????

Has anyone thought of building one or seen one built. My sportwagon's body has very little rot all on the rear quarters, and dogleg in front of the rear fenders. the interior is in good shape but the driver and driver rear seat bottom.

I have thought of doing it rat style while I work on it. Thoughts ideas here is a picture on her way home.

Cool car! Check out the Street Fighters car club on here.
I would consider my car kinda rat. I wish it wasn't but it is fun.

Yup, I plan on rocking the surface rot. I think it just add's to the understated character of a sleeper. Just love it. Also nice not having to worry about parking in the back 40 when you go out somewhere just to avoid door dings.

For your project. Defenitly needs to be lower. Buy some springs, cut the stockers, date some fat chicks, whatever. Paint the wheels and some nice rubber. A killer big block and an 4l80e. And figure out a way to get some 4 points for every passenger. IIRC they had the backwards facing tumbler seat. Just the look on peoples faces when they strap in lookin out the back window would be worth it! Man that would be cool......

      Good luck on the project.

Check killbillet.com for some cool rat rod ideas. Not much PT/modern HP/handling/convenience ideas (which is why we're here), but they've got the rat rod aesthetics down.

this is a bunch of pics of my old Nova- i think it would qualify as a "rat" type of build.. 2 different colors of shipped paint plus a few spots of primer, door dings on both doors, rear bumper pushed in a little bit, dent in left 1/4 panel, dash pushed in on the passenger side, mazda front seats, faded GTA wheels, home built C4 Vette front brakes..
all that and about 400hp backed by a T10 and 3.70 gears. drove it everywhere in every kind of weather- got caught in a freak October ice/snow storm, drove thru hail and rain so thick i couldn't see the road in front of me.. gravel roads.. whatever. even parked it with the other cars at Wal Mart or wherever i went.

My wagon lived in primer for years. As long as the stance is right, the wheel/tire fit is good, and there's some power in it, it's all good.
