      New Event Name

Ok. , some of you may already know this , but the Year One Experience for 2009 has been cancelled.
And that leaves a big hole in the event schedule for the pro-touring members who usually attend it every May.

David and Tammy Sloan of Road Killer Kustoms ( with my help) are trying to organize a new event so we can all get together this Spring.

So , we were trying to come up with a name for the event.
We kinda' brainstormed and wrote a bunch of stuff down.
Just anything that popped in our heads.

I thought I would post the ideas in "Open Discussion" and try to get a concensus of ideas from members.

      Here's what we jotted down so far ;

      Peach State Challenge
      Pro-Touring Street Car Challenge
      Pro-Touring March through Georgia
      Peach State Classic- Musclecar Challenge
      Peach State Pro-Touring Musclecar Challenge
      Musclecar Performance Open Challenge
      Peach State Musclecar Performance Challenge
      Southern Speed Festival

      What does everybody think ?
I'm looking for opinions here ....
      Give me some ideas.....

      BTW , Thanks

I like leaving "pro-touring" out of the name.

Why? Because the "PRO" part might make some people feel intimidated to show up. Like their car may not be nice enough (or "pro" enough).

I like "Peach State Musclecar Performance Challenge" or some variation of that.

      PSMPC would be the acronym..

We are actually getting a lot of interest from local people that never knew such a multi-use car event was ever held.
They've only ever dreamed it could happen.
I'm hoping a bunch of people come to the dragstrip , autocross ,( and the big ass party David is having at his pool ).

I kinda like Peach State Performance Challenge. Could include some newer cars if you want, but won't limit it to only muscle cars. It could attract more people that way.

      Very good points.
I like the Peach State Challenge , Shortens it up a little an does not limit the age of cars Like Bugger pointed out.
If you are a member an your project is not on the road yet, But you have a newer car you want to run then by all means bring it on.
      Thanks keep them coming

      That's not bad.

I like the "Run through the XXX" idea but it seems to be too close to RTTH. Like it infringes on their "thing." Kinda like Coke Zero. I love those commercials.

I'd say the logo should be drawn up AFTER the name is chosen. Just in case you want to play off the name a bit.

I like Southern Speed Festival. Though it might attract meth-heads from North FLA.

Peach State Performance Festival might work too.
