      68 Bird Headlights not working

When I pull the headlight switch on none of the headlights go on. When I hit the floor switch to get the high beams on, all 4 lights go on.
How can I get just the low beams on?
Do the low beams stay on when the high beams are on?
      Thanks

Sounds like your high bean switch has a short in it. I had this happen to me on my 67 'Bird years ago. Try cleaning the contacts in the floor switch or replace it. I just replaced the switch.

Thanks. Will try cleaning first as my local parts store in Australia is unlikely to have a replacement handy!

They are the same switch that was used on many many GM / Holdens...take it in with you, you might be surprised.
