Msd blaster 2 coil
I am installing a MSD ignition system in a big block Chevy for my '67 SS using a MSD Pro Billet distributer coupled with a MSD6AL-2 ignition box. I want to use a Blaster 2 coil but i see there are two Blaster 2 coils available. One has a ballest resistor and one does not. Do I need the ballest resistor, whats it used for. I am rewiring the car with a complete kit from Painless, i plan on switching the alternator to one wire. Why the resistor?
