      Cool wheels for cheap.

I really dont think i can afford big wheels and tires anytime soon with all thats going on with my car right now. Im in the middle of building a $4,500 motor i can barely, barely afford. I have nicely painted gloss black rallys right now but with no rings or caps. I could put rings and caps on maybe but Id kinda like to ditch my rallys. What are some wheels that will look better then rallys for under 800 bucks? Heres what im thinking.
      A.black trans am GTA wheels.
B.15 inch torque thrust d's for that trans am look.
thats all i got so far. or i could just put rings on caps on. i dont know. if i did 15's i already have tires for them. and 16's are dirt cheap.

I paid less than $800 for my 18X9 Boss wheels.

You can also get Cragar Soft8 steel wheels for dirt cheap in sizes up to 17X9.

Used C5 wheels and tires (check Craigs list there are a lot of takeoffs) and spacers would be well under $1,000.

I run C5 wheels on my '68 - 2" spacers rear, 1.875" spacers front. I think the wheels you got were too wide. You need the 8.5" x 17" fronts and the 9.5" x 18" rears.

I got a set of closeout 18" wheels from Discount Tire for under $400 to my door. Not exactly what I would have picked if I had a grand to spend but they will do.

      cheap wheels

How bout some OE wheels? back in the late 80's I put 4 16x8 rear Iroc wheels on a 70 R/S the fronts IIRC needed some minor spacing and I painted them body color too - early P/T car with T/A sway bars and gear box. The GTA rear wheels could also be done and painted centers. the fronts would stick out too far so all wheels were rear position.and I was running P255/50zr16 gatorbacks for spacers i used the rear spacers off the IROC too
