Not a chance!
The last time a female asked me for pictures via the internet and I sent them; the wife found out and beat me!

I don't think the requirements are asking to much. I mean my God they are guaranteeing you a spot in a national mag for a few minutes of your time. We all take pics of our rides anyway.
I think some are just skeerd cause they dont want Liz to see pics of there junk...I'll be sending in some pics of the Maverick for sure.

It's not '92, but for them getting a CD is FAR easier than downloading pics. And it's faster, and easier to deal with and manipulate.
These folks are helping everyone out. We ought to be thankful for the interest. I for one will be packaging up some material for submission.

I completely disagree with your first statement about what is faster and easier. I don't know of anyone who uses CD's to store and manipulate pictures anymore. Not a soul. Originally Posted by wmhjr

MAN! is this that hard? It seems simple to me, follow the directions of the person that is trying to put your rides in a magazine and they're there. If you don't want to follow her directions, don't, and your rides don't appear. Simple to me.

You're unfortunately looking at this like a home PC user. I call it the "Best Buy" mentality. Let's look at the reasons why submission via CD/DVD makes sense, shall we? Originally Posted by Flash68

Most email systems have limits on file sizes of attachments. For very good reasons. So, my submission would get bounced, and Liz or somebody has to spend valuable time trying to troubleshoot why my submission didn't get in.
3) Bandwidth. Again - 150mb. Multiply that times the number of of potential submissions? Bandwidth aint cheap in the corporate world.
I'm retired from the military and am in the middle of my second career - which happens to be IT. I run a pretty large global IT operations group. You have no idea how many times people assume that what is best for them in their home MUST be best for the corporate/business world. Just not so. You can buy a 1TB consumer grade network storage device for a few hundred dollars. 1TB of Tier 1 SAN storage such as a Hitachi 9900 class or EMC will be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Just real world examples.
I'd be willing to bet SERIOUS money that the intent for having us submit via CD is NOT to discourage people from participating.
