Avoid American Racing / WheelPros at all costs

Apparently after the sellout/merger/whatever-you-want-to-call-it between American Racing and WheelPros, their service has gone to crap. For years I've been dreaming of seeing my wagon on a pair of 20" torq-thrusts with gray centers, and now that I actually have the cash to make it happen, it looks like I might be sh:t outta luck. I placed my order about 6 months ago and was told it was a 6 - 8 week turn around. Low and behold I still don't have rims, I'm continuing to get the run around from them, my car is immobile at the shop it's at, and I'm about to get charged for storage.

What's a pisser is that I heard when AR sold out, they even sold some of the tooling to make the rims, and now have to outsource part of the process to other companies. I heard a rumor that they might be sh:t-canning the whole custom offset business altogether and just pop out hundreds of standard offset wheels.

So now not only has my car been off the road unnecessarily for months, the only alternative I have in mind for wheels are Intros that cost twice as much.

Just a warning for everyone else. If I had to do it over again I certainly as hell wouldn't order American Racing.

      Regards,
      Eric
