Heidts questions
I am new to this forum and I have tried to do due diligence in searching old post but I have not been able to find the info I seek. Can someone who is currently using a Heidts subframe and or 4 link please give my your impression of the product. It is a forgone conclusion that it won't compare to DSE or Morrisson and I understand that but for less than 5k for both delivered it sounds like a deal. I have read most the posting that would suggest other alternatives and that is all good info. I am trying to determine if this product is worth it's price, fully understanding "you get what you pay for" Thanks!

I do not think you will find many here that have used it. I also do not think you will find many here that have used it in aggressive driving timed events either. So good information may be in short supply.
A Heidts rep has made a appearance in the last week or so over at Lateral G, I would bet they will show up here very soon. This post may very well bring them over?

I am using the heidts complete subframe for my 1st gen Camaro...I am very happy with this set up for the price, all of the parts are high quality and the subframe is well built....its not an Art Morrison or DSE, but when trying to keep your budget under 35k and build a good car...The guys at Heidts are great help too!!!

It's not a bad sub. My wife Mary test drove their second gen test car in the Super Chevy Suspension Challenge and it ran the autox a tenth or two behind the DSE second gen. I think they deserve a lot of credit for what they did with that car with very little development time.
Their rear suspension may not be compatible with minitubs due to the body mounting location of the upper links, but the rear suspension kit looks like it is a bolt in system, - it looks very easy to install. The upper links anchor to the unibody in the wheel well space just ouboard of the frame rails, a minitub would eliminate this mounting area. It may be possible to move it inboard of the frame rail.
The front sub has pretty good bracing, uses steel spindles and is similar to the Alston sub.
I haven't checked their pricing but it could be one of the best bang for the buck subs out there. They are very nice people too.
