They were gonna do this a few years back in Half Moon Bay and some endangered species of Ant was crawling across the runway1971 Camaro, 383 stroker ~500HP,M21 Trans with lightened flywheel. All Sorts of Auto-x Goodness in the Suspension. 12" Brakes ->SOLD
But ask me about my 2004 STi Auto-x car...

Brett, I thought the noise was bothering the growth of the field across the highway from it? In any event, I'm a bit more excited that they mentioned a road course in it. IF this really does happen, that would be very big for the area.

Growing up in Fremont and having Baylands right there was nice especailly for the Wednesday night grudge racing, it was stupid that they closed it down.
If this actually happens, it will be very popular i'm sure, (not to mention convenient)especially with a road coarse.Steve Martin

They closed Baylands when I bought my car, right after I got my license. A track in Alameda would be awesome.
I used to go to school in the naval base and would see the autocrosses and "driving events" happening across the way. I always wondered why they couldn't just build a track there.

Maybe someone will build houses right next to it like Sac Raceway and then complain about the noise...what moron buys a house next to a race track and then complains about it being too loud!
