      I started back to school...

I just started back to school, I was excited to learn something new but man. I forgot what it was like to have homework!!!!! In the past I took Machine Tool and there wasn't much homework with that but now I am taking Electronics Technology. Man it seems that all I do is read and take test after test!!! This past weekend I done homework and studied for 2 test and it took 8 hours!!!!!

My job is requiring us to become Tecnicians. Or our job may not be there in the near future. So going back to school was an easy choice.

Is any one else in Tech. school?

I have a degree in Electronics Technolgy from years ago (about 15). I never was a big fan of the math...

I just started to take night classes for my Firefighter II certification (volunteer). No homework, just study and practice. It takes a bit to get back into the grind, but you'll get used to it.

Yep, just finishing up my last three classes and I'll have my degree an AAS in Supervisory Management, my job was going to require it so me and another guy got a jump on the other supervisors at work and were a year ahead of everyone else, we were going to the college and they were doing it at work, ours was a two year program it's going to take them five. Work paid for ours and theirs. I lost my job there last week due to economic conditions and he lost his a month ago for similar reasons. They at least had the guts to do mine face to face, they did his on the phone while he was at the airport ready to go to a customer. So just because work requires it doesn't mean your job it set. Good luck to you.

I went back in summer 06 at the age of 26. I'm at UGA though so most people are between 18-22. I'm 28 now nearly 29 and will graduate right after I turn 30. It was rough coming back. It was a big adjustment having to study and do homework. I can't wait til I am out working and can hopefully have my weekends to mow the yard instead of doing homework. Keep at it and don't get distracted by things that ultimately don't matter or won't help you do well in class. You'll get used to it after a while.

I got my machine tool degree from Athens Tech right after I left UGA the first time. I'm rusty as hell but will have that and a Mech Engineering degree when I'm all done. I sure hope I don't ever have to come back.
