Need motor opinions.

Heres my problem. My 396 spun a bearing. I dont have enough money to rebuild it. I dont have very much money period. Its taken me a while to build my car because i make crap money. I would really love to drive my car this year and the only way i can do that is if i buy a cheap motor. I know someone selling an 87 305 out of a trans am. Yeah i know its a 305 but it runs good and it would get my camaro back up and driving aleast. And it wont be that bad because i have a six speed for it. Then i can save up to build a nice motor while still being able to tool around in my car.

So basically what im asking is, do you think its worth getting this 305? its $150 and has no leaks and runs good. sorry for the long post.
