      bending hoops

      Anybody out there that is good at bending hoops. Do you guys use bend tech or some other method for not wasting material? thanks

      I bend quite a bit of tubing and cant remember the last time I scrapped a tube. All I use is a tapemeasure and two peices of flat stock bolted together as a "bend gauge". It helps to start with a center line. For bending you want to figure the gain from the start point of the bend to the outside of the bend radius. If you are rich a bend protractor can make things a little easier. They are available here...

      Bend Tech Pro makes it pretty easy. If you are just starting out, it's the best way to go. I've used it for years.

      ^^^ I have used BnedTech EZ for simple bends and it works great!
