      Help with wheel choice

I think I am going to take advantage of the current discount on Rushforth wheels however I need some opinions.

I am surrounded by 1/4 mile guys who think I am nuts for leaving my old school 455 in the corner so my good drinkin buddies are of no use to me here.

I am building a 71 Trans Am clone, lowered 2" with Wilwoods on all 4 corners (12.29" rotors). The car will be Blue with a Silver T/A stripe, so I plan on having the centres of the wheels powdercoated in Silver and get a brushed finish on the outer hoops.

      Options:
      - 17" or 18" (given that I am looking for the right balance between too tall a sidewall and the rubber band look).
      - Livewires or Rated X
      - do you think 255/?/17 or 18 and 285/?/17or 18 (around 26" tall either way) will fill out the wheel wells nicely.

ive seen a couple of these cars in person that have 20's on them and they look awesome. Do some more research before spending some money on wheels. Remember you have a tall/wide fender design, meaning that putting 17's or 18's make them look tiny.....just my 2 cents.

i like the rated x wheels.

Rated Xs in 18s - 18s and 19s or 19s and 20s. Check out the recent thread with the blue/black Chevelle with the black Rated xs. The car is hot!
