      65 vette

      what is the largest size rim & tire I can fit on the rear of a
      65-67 corvette with standard fenders , no flares etc

      I almost forgot, I relocated the e-brake cable to the top of the stock trailing arms

      Very nice car. By the looks of it you won't be wanting anything that even comes close to those fenders. You will find guys who have gotten 17x8s with 245s on the back but I wouldn't try it. I think you're looking at a 235 on a 7 with a 4.5 backspace. At that ride height and at the quality level of that car I wouldn't take a chance with anything bigger. You're not stuck with 17s you could go 18s and just adjust the aspect ratio. There really isn't alot of room in the stock fenders on these C2s.

      It is tight in there
      I have 17 x 7 now
      I would like to go to an 18 x 8 if it would fit

      Might need a set of offset trailing arms to get an 18x8 in there.
