67 ss max tire size

I am building up a 67' ss camaro w/ a chris alston front sub frame. I have a gm 12 bolt rear end w/ drums right now, no fender mod's or mini tubs, what is the largest tire diameter and width i can run on the back without running into issues?

i have 17x9 wheels and 275/40r17 tires on back of my 67 firebird. measure carefully, they may or may not fit your 40+ year old car. that is the only sure way to know. my car has no body mods either.
