      5.3L question

O.K i got a 5.3l out of a 2003 avalanch for FREE but it has a lite rod knock. I know because i heard it run before it was pulled. I got it with intake to oil pan with front bracket but no acc but it did come with a harness. it has 75K on it. My question is is it worth taking it down and just doing a rebuild with all new bearings if the crank is not hurt or should i just do away with it?

The plan is to do a budget build for my 70 nova

      Thanks
      Brandon

I'd say so. You can reuse many of the seals if they aren't damaged. I'd go with ARP head bolts and rod bolts though. It's added insurance and if you ever remove the heads again, you won't have to buy a new set of bolts.
