      Jeep wrangler problem

Hey guys my mom has an 04 Wrangler and the heater switch only works on high. she gets nothing on low or medium fan. could it be the switch itself or maybe a fuse? let me know what you guys think thanks

Most likely the blower motor resistor needs replacing. The resistor usually has three wires coming off it two of the wires will be different resistances for the low and medium switch setting and the third will be a direct path for the motor to ground. Thats why the high setting is still working, it doesnt rely on the resistor to complete the circuit.

      Hope that helps.

Yep , sounds like the resistor.

Havent done one on a wrangler but its usually an under the dash thing. Itll be on the passenger side and should be mounted onto the blower motor housing with a couple screws. Might have to remove the glove box to access it.

Found this. Answer two has a very good description and answer three has a diagram out of a service manual.
      Hope you get it fixed.
