      64 chevelle

Here are a couple of pics on my 64 chevelle. I did a mini tub on it as well as put a 509 cadillac engine in it. Tires are 315/35/17 with vintage wheel works v45,17/11 rims. I kept the body stock with all the original trim redone. I modified the hood with a set of 1964 chevelle hood inserts. Interior is all in red leather with a set of new trans am seats cut down to make them low backs.

Here are a few more pics of the interior and hood. I will try and get a few more pictures when it warms up as it is 20 below 0 here. The caps are a billet cap and I will have to dig thru my recepits to find out where I got them. I tried to keep the interior looking mostly stock by replacing everything with reproduction parts. I put a set of tpi gauges in the stock dash. Speedo on the left, tach in the center and a quad gauge on the right. You have to look twice to see that they are not the stock gauges. The caddy enginge was a lot of work to fit in as the early chevelles are very narrow between the upper control arms and the caddy engine is a wide motor.

What kind of bucket seats are those? They look really good the way you covered them to look stockish.

Seats are from a 2002 trans am. I took the headrests off and cut the foam down on the top of the backs.

The white paint with red interior definately gives the car an old school vibe, but has a modern feel with the dash and the tire/wheel combo. Nice blending of styles !!!
