LT1 Crank Position Sensor?

I ordered a new wiring harness, as I was unhappy with the one I had previously assembled, but there was a little bit of a snafu and it was built for a '96 instead of a '95. So far the only issue I have found is that the coil plug is different which should not be a big deal, just need to replace it with the newer version. Problem- I can't find the crank sensor... I know the '96s sensor is on the timing cover, did the '95s have one? The manual says it is on the right side of block between 4 & 6 cylinders, but there is no such animal there. Thanks.
