      Hello All.........

Hello: I have been browsing this site for a while, and I have decided to sign up. I have three ongoing projects , and will be picking the brain of people on various parts and ways they have assembled their cars. i like to build everything on my own .....whether it be brake packages, various suspension pieces, engines and transmissions and even the occasional roll bar. I am looking forward to seeing some gret project cars posted on this site.
      thanks in advance Gerald

I have a '79 Fairmont, a '78 Fairmont and an '80 Malibu.....the '79 is completed. It has a simple 306 short block, 274xe roller cam , home ported edelbrock heads and a Victor jr. manifold with a Demon 650 DP. Trans is a T5 and an 8.8'' out of a Mustang with the Ranger axle swap. I have done the '95 Cobra type brake swap.....mostly with junkyard scrounged parts and over the counter brakes replacement parts.....I figure the HP to be 380-420 at the flywheel, and have gone just a tick under 150 mph in it (according to the Autometer speedo) It is a fun car to drive. The '78 is going to be the Anti car show car.... a beater for sure....I am in the process of building a 393 for it with a TKO600..3.27 geared 8.8 and totally home rebuilt(boxed and bushed factory junk)........The Malibu is just an experiment as I'm not a Chevy guy at all......its a V6 car so I'm looking to just throw in a 350/350 combo with a Gear Vendor OD I have sitting on a shelf.......big brakes and ZO6 wheels...too many cars and not enough time or money!
