      Recaro Speed S seats

Added some Recaro Speed S seats with Schroth 5 point belts.
The "S" model of the seat is designed for us bigger guys. I'm 6'5" 215lbs and now fit a lot better in the car.

at least now I can fit with a helmet on.

      Good lookin' seats.
      They look comfy too.

Aren't you supposed to mount the shoulder belts differently ??
Like , to a harness/shoulder bar closer to the rear of the front seat.
I just think that's too much stretch in the belts in the event of an accident.

Nice seats! I have been looking at these among others. I am 6'4" myself, and the fact that you fit bumps these higher up on the list! Thanks!

They look just right. A racy but factory look to them. I'm not a tall but would appreciate seats that are easier to live with than these.

I hate to see passengers over 6ft contort themselves to get in!

Very nice, I'm 6'6" and the LS1 Camaro seats in my Cutlass improved head room, but I still think a helmet will rub the headliner.

A harness bar/hoop would be ideal, but this is much safer than the factory shoulder belts that go straight across your neck...

I may eventually cage the car, but I'm not prepared to cut it up quite yet.

werks2.com The seats start at $699 and go up when you add options. In vinyl/suede like mine, they were $799 a piece. One of the best investments I've made into the car yet.

Welded a bar across the top package tray for reinforcement, then these plates that are welded to the x braces. The bar is bolted to the plates, sandwiching the package tray and welded to the xbraces for further strength. Its not ideal, but it sure beats the factory setup or bolting the shoulder belts to the back seat belt points like some people do...

The seats look great... too bad they have a huge 10" logo though. Minor gripe though as they look to their job.

      Seats

Do you have any side pictures of the car so we can see how far the seats stick up? Thanks, they look sweet.
