FUel - Vegas - Optima Challenge

Sorry for the long post just excited about it, thought I'd share.

Did some tweaking on FUel, sort of fast tracked I guess for the optima Challenge. What would have been my winter projects I shipped the car off to G-Force to get it done right and fast. They busted a nut and did lots of little things, a few of the bigger items I'll mention: new heavier springs front and rear, new tires, new PVC breather catch can, new fuel baffle vent (thanks John Parsons and Mike Norris for the quick hook up), finally got a fire suppression system installed, then a bunch of the other "tweaking.'" (Read me being picky and Jason going out of his way to make me happy... Thanks Jason!!)

Really the car runs solid and strong so there was not that much to do or improve on!

Vegas... I arrive Wednesday some time early after a 24hr. straight drive with my trailer to haul it home. Meet the G Force crew hang out at SEMA and go to work on warming up those new tires.

Thursday we have some time booked at ATS to install a ATS rear stabilizer bar and fine tune the suspension. Thanks Tyler. More driving.

Friday more SEMA and a whole bunch of play time booked on a dyno. More driving.

Saturday the optima Challenge. Really looking forward to it. I hear the track is a killer, confusing and hard to learn the corners. We only have a short practice session before a timed event. It'll be interesting with limited track experience! Jason and I will share some driving on the events so we both can have fun with the car. Thanks Larry for asking FUel to represent the site... the car is worthy and I know I'll have a blast!

Looking forward to meeting many of you hanging out and seeing some amazing cars, see ya there!

Wish I had time to whip up a t-shirt.. I'm f'ing clueless on what needs to be done to make it happen...

Can't wait to see Fuel at the event.. wish I had a weed to tinker with the car, tempted to ditch SEMA but I made a promise to Magnaflow.

See ya in a few days and have a safe trip!

Congratulations man. I think FUel is a contender for the Pro Touring cars. From what Jason tells me, the righ combination of sorted car, and driver with experiance and know how, and a true desire to win it!

Steve, you could just scratch the entire thing and be affraid to not win! No, not your style! Nay sayers will think you have a built in excuse because of your last minute thrash! Whatever, at least your invited! But you will be a hero if you do win! So in my book you can't lose.

Really look forward to hanging with you guys and just "being there", I will let you guys worry about winning!

No, I meant skip parking in SEMA to spend more time sorting the new combo.. would love the extra time. I would rather beat on the car than park

It's gonna be fun.. I wonder how the weather is shaping up?

Yeah Garth , That what I meant.
He wont be tuning. We are flying in our own tuner as almost NO-ONE knows how to tune a Harrop Intake.
We are just "using " his dyno .

I've heard that said before. Is there any one specific thing that makes it difficult?

For sure that's the number one issue... people are more or less freaked because the computer does not generally allow for the tune of individual flow. Ever have a look under the cover- very cool...

The linkage looks cool, it's almost a crime to cover it up.
I thought that getting each runner to flow the same amount of air would be the hard part. Are there adjustments on each
TB to synchronize the air flow?

You missed this thread. My favorite is Dave smiling in his car and the entire G-Force crew passed out in the trailer.
