      How to disassemble a Demon?

In particular, these 'nuts' on the end of the throttle shaft. It appears as if they are threaded on and then crimped so they can't back off. How do you make them round again so they can be removed? The one in this picture isn't squished too badly, but the one on the other side is worse.

If you are trying to remove the throttleshafts from the baseplate then those parts your pointing out do not have to be dissassembled.

      What's your plan?

My plan is to remove all the levers, linkage and brackets and plate them with something nicer than the crappy zinc finish they have now. You can see the large lever in the picture..... is not very pretty.

      Okay,
The lever can be left on if your going to replate.

But, I want to take it off. It seems that you would have to remove that lever if you wanted to change the accelerator pump cam, so there must be a way.
