Accel DFI wiring - will not start

So I did something wrong but where to start to troubleshoot

New harness, new DFI system, new everything.

I just phased the distributor so it has power, the Accel 6A box has a red light on the diagnostic port so it has power but when I turn the key

      Nothing

      Starter does not engage.

Where is the best place to start tracing it back?

      Thanks everyone

if the starter won't engage that's your regular car harness not the efi harness. First thing to check is the neutral safety switch; is it hooked up and adjusted correctly? This assumes you have the two wires to the starter on, red 12 volt cable and the start wire on the solenoid, the purple (on most GM vehicles) wire that comes from the ignition switch to the starter (while going through the neutral safety switch).

      Jody your the man.
      That was it.
Neutral safety was not hooked up. So I hooked them together and it cranks.
      Your Awesome.

yep, good use for one. Just make sure it's not a super cheapy switch that can't handle the amps from the starter during cranking.
