      Caddy cts

      Hey guys,

We wne today to go look at a new car for my mom, she drives a 2006 honda pilot, and we have horses so it is nice because she can go get feed and hay, but not much. Well with gas like it is she was talking about going to car and using my dads company truck to get feed and tow the trailor to the horse shows. So dad says a while back lets look at the new cts, and we looked and looked but never drove one, now my mom has leased her cars from honda forever so going to a caddy will be a big change so they ask me if I want to go look, my reply was easy... "you gonna test drive one?" "Yeah" "give me a second" now we get to the caddy dealer and they were like sharks to a crippled grouper before I could get my door open they had us surrounded!! but we fight our way out and look, blah blah blah it does this and it does ok whatever then we get to the test drive, I looked like a driver on fire after a crash but backwards. Of course I get the back with the sweaty fat guy but it was very spacious and I had my side and he had side,I was very surprised at the amount room in the back I am 6,1 so the head room was alittle tight, but it had maybe a good inch or two on the pilot. And it was so quiet on the outside you can just hardly hear it idle until the A/C kicks on but then you just hear a slight humming sound and he starts going through all the doo hickies and stuff and I got scared he practicully jumps on me to get in the middle to show off the radio, I swear I thought I was gonna have to tazer him he came at me so fast, but anyways we start pulling out moms at the wheel still super quiet and we finally get on the road and we got I guess the base model v6 that he says has like 270 somthing or 280 horse power and it pulled very good for a v6. I rides so good!! it is amazing. So we peeter around for a bit then dad gets to drive. Now the last I was on a test drive with dad it was 95 5.0 stang and I was 4 and he put a hurting on that stang. Right off the bat he about swipes both mirrors off trying to go through a set of posts at this gas station then we are on our way he stomps on it and it takes off and never seemed to let up. then we hit up the interstate and dad is paying around and dropped to about 65-70 mph and hits again and it jumps to 80 in the blink of an eye!! all and all I was so impressed with this car, it is now a mission to get mom to buy nothing but that caddy. We had the paint interior, and the accent pieces picked out and they have one at another dealership and said they could get it hear monday so we will see what happens, if we get it I will post pictures, if we don't se if my suicide make the news or somthing, because I will be devistated!!!

Don't know if it was dark out (requiring the dash lights to be on) but from photos I really like the look of the dash/interior etc.

I read good reviews on it and the whole car.

What's your opinion of the interior and its quality?

Lt4blazer, sorry my grammer is not perfect enough for you, but that kind of stuff will really not go over very good with some people.

55forward, I never saw the interior with the lights on, but the whole car is very nice. It is a very clean design, everything flows, and the graphite inserts in the console and door panels really gives everything a nice sporty look. All the fit and finish is really good. For the money this is very easily the best bang for your buck. After looking around and seeing what our other options are I really think we will be buying the CTS.

That was really hard to read. I suggest you read up on punctuation, spelling, and indentations indicating the start of a new paragraph.
Oh yeah, the CTS IS a nice car.

My wife is looking at new cars and I wanted her to look at a CTS but she "poo-pooed" it as too blingy. Still working on her though.

Let us know if your mom buys it and most importantly what the bottom line price was. GM has some VERY good incengtives out right now.

I think if you get her to drive one, she'll feel differently.

My wife wants the SRX. It's the wagon version of a CTS, but it comes with the 4.6 Northstar V8 and AWD (optional). We have 4 kids so a third row is kind of needed. We've driven about 3 and should be getting one in the next month or so.

I bought my wife a 2008 CTS, with the 3.6L direct injection V6. It is a very nice car, and pretty quick for a V6. No complaints so far, been almost a year.

We bought a caddy!!!! 2009 cts, I really wanted the carbon fiber accents in the dash and everything but with all the options mom wanted we could only get one with wood. But it looks alright. We got a great deal on a lease, the car with all the options (sunroof, chrome 18's, 40 gig hard drive, and a bunch others) was listed for 42,000 or 43,000 and with all the discounts we got and stuff we got it for 33,000 or 32,000!!! so if your on the market for a new car give the caddy shack a look.

They use the V6/stick CTS as instructor's cars at Bondurant's Driving School. I've had the pleasure of enjoying some very inspired track rides in the CTS's there, and they are solid performance cars...even with the V-6!

I've ridden in some hot rodded CTS-Vs too, and they were also very nice and capable on the road. Good cars- just still out of my price range.

We got the car last night!!! I of course looked at at real close (looking for little details that I would change) and trust me I looked at every thing and I could only find one thing, and I will get pictures to describe this because it is one of those things that you have to see to understand. The fit and finish is like none other I have every seen, all the lids for the cup holders and little storage holes all the gaps are near perfect all the way around, they do have a habbit to get a little off in the corners. The only other little thing is these cars have a massive sunroof it goes well into the back seat but cover is very thin and you can see though it in the sunlight, but thats just me. I will get pictures later today and post them.

Yeah it is always funny how you never really get a great look at the car when your looking at them then you get it home and the car guys are like flies to roadkill and they find all sorts of little details. Like last night we figured out that the vents on the side of the fenders are functional.

I was brought along to actually help choose the paint and interior combo, and now I can't think of the exact name of the color but I think they call it black ice, it's is a very cool color it looks black in the dark but when it is in the sun it have a very dark blue tint with a lot of metal flake in it.
