      My 1968 Fairlane Project!

Here is a rendering of what I want. What do you all think? i think it would be different you don't see as many coupes around as fastbacks. The colors would be a deep black and a dark red with a fine metalic in the red. Then a thin Siver pin strip to break the two colors. Interior would be simular colors. Engine will be a stroked and bored FE big block, 390 to a 445 c.i. Then a 5 speed TKO 600 and a built rear end to match. Already has disc brakes, just up grade them, discs in rear too. Front adjustable coil over conversion, and lowered in rear to match. Wheels are those Intro wheels, but actual size TBD. A real light window tint also.

Good luck with the project. I've always liked those late 60s Fairlanes and Montegos.

Sweet car, I like the color. 420" sounds cool about how much power you putting down with that? Have you run it at the track? I have another hood for my car its the factory hood and scoop like yours, and I am putting it on mine too.

thanks...around 500hp, it's got a .621 lift solid roller, dart sr heads that have been reworked, victor jr, etc. No track times yet. I will likely get it chassis dynoed before getting it to the track. I'm swapping out the C6 to a TKO600 this winter.

That's cool, the engine sounds bad a$$. I wish you were near me so I could see it in person. I am takeing my engine and trany from my car and putting it in my dads 1964 Comet Cyclone, so I have a car to play with while I build mine. Its a little lighter than my Fairlane so I should pick up a bit more at the track. How do you like the TKO, that is what I want too.
