750 Dominator HP
My engine is a 355 with 291 fuelie heads a cam of 300/310 dur 255/260 @ .050 112 lsa, .525/.550 lift .125 domes, roller rockers, heads very well ported/polished and eagle crank and rods, it has a hurricane intake a proform dizzy and a new 750 Dominator hp (has2 air bleeds per ventrui, they have 71's and 35's in them now, here is my problem. Truck will start right up, and idle good after warming up, from off idle all the way up my egt gauge is reading high, like 15 or so, at idle and very little part throttle it stays about 10-11max (which is good). It does not smoke, ping, backfire, hesitate, no troubles at all. The engine temp will get up to 190 +/-5* but usually it stays 170 without the fan on, so I know the engine is getting warm maybe from to much air through the secondary bleeds, my plug will be tan/slight brown if it just idles, but after a run they look brand new-not a speck on the porcelin. What would be a good starting point to mess with the air bleeds. I was going to leave the primary bleeds where they are at, and go from the sec from 71 to a 50 or so and just try, can anyone help me out here on a starting point, carb has no vaccum port either, the throttle blades will open about 10% and then it goes leaner from there.
