How much effort to do a quality wet sanding ?

About how many hours does it take to wet sand after a base / clear coat paint job, with 800 then 1200 then 1500 then 2000 grit, and then buff the entire car (a 1st gen camaro) ?

We charge about 40 hrs depending on the car. But if you want the extra wet look make the extra sand with 3000grit after 2000grit.

In my experience - every car is different due to many variables; if you get a sag/run; Excessive orange peel in certain areas; too many edges that have to be masked or avoided; big car/little car. If the car has the doors, fenders etc., mounted on the car - it will definitely take much longer to polish because you need to careful not to cut thru the edges!

I would suggest you take a panel at a time - just work methodically and don't pay attention how long it took you to do whatever you tasked yourself to do that day. If you pay more attention to the methodology of polishing, you can have a fantastic finish that you'll be proud to say "I did it myself".

Good luck - but remember to enjoy yourself!!

70TWO NOVA - the car looks great - nice work!!!

Just take your time and do it right, the more time you take the better it will look. If you want to rush it you will not be happy with it. Plan on a week to get it nice and flat.

If you’re suggesting sending men with weapons of war to take my weapons of war, then I’m fairly certain that’s what’s called an act of war… and the definition of tyranny.which coincidentally is the reason for the second amendment to begin with!
