      GTO Bushings

Hello. I'm new to this website and new to the restoration process. I am currently doing a frame-off restoration on my 68 GTO. I initially wanted to replace all of the bushings with poly bushings, but after reading several articles and visiting multiple forums, I am more leaning towards OEM rubber bushings. I was wondering if anybody could me find a reputable company with complete OEM rubber bushing set.
Also, is there any middle ground between OEM rubber and Poly bushings? Maybe a more stiff rubber bushing not quite poly? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried asking at a parts store? I would think they could get rubber bushings.

The factory style bushings are available at all the resto mail order places, and I believe there are still GM once available. It's borken into several parts, like the core support bushings are different, you have to get the sleeves/collars, washers, and bolts separately.

There is something in between, and it's slipping my mind at the moment, dura-something. Are you falling for the 'solid/poly bushing make for a harsh ride' thing? Don't believe it. It's so little of a difference you wouldn't be able to tell, and the benefits are much greater. Usually people also change things like tires & wheels, as well as stiff springs and shocks, al at the same time and then blame the bushings. Not. Case in point: New cars don't have body bushings, it's all one piece. (for the most part). My advise, go solid.
