      Sent here from chevelles.com

I'm new here, but not new to the online forums. I have a 71 Chevelle that is on its way to protouring, but the funds to supply my chevelle with the parts i need are just not there as of now. I thought i'd start reading around here more often.

      71 Chevelle SS

      383 stroker iron heads
      tko 600 .64 OD
3.73 richmond gears, eaton posi unit
edelbrock boxed lowers, and adj. uppers in the rear
      stock front suspension.

My plans are to add a tru-trac to the rear end
17x8 in the front and 17x9,10,11 havent decided yet
I really like the Vintage Wheels Works v48 and havent seen them on any 70-72 chevelles.
SC&C front end kit with new upper and lower arms.
Rear disc conversion + plus upgrade the fronts.

By the time all that is done I'll probably need a new engine. haha

right now i just cruise the car on the street, but one day i'd like it to be track worthy. (road+strip)

      Thanks guys!

My goal for the Chevelle is to bullet proof it. I want brakes that will take a beating, i want steering thats not going to over heat on a track, i want a motor thats good to 8k, i want suspension thats going to give my car a very stable feel at high speed corning. All while being able to drive it every day if i have to, and take it to shows to BS with all my friends and check out all the great cars from the past.

after all, isnt that what pro-touring is all about?
