      front runner heater hose

I went to hookup my heater hoses today and noticed that I cant get to the nipple on the water pump. So I decided to take my compressor off and found out that it wont come off because the bottom bolt is on the back side and hits the cylinder head. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, can anyone give me some insight? Small block chevy with vintage air's front runner.

      Hi Mark,

Did you get the heater hose problem squared away?
If not, you'll have to remove the VA main truss bracket with the a/c compressor and alternator attached in order to attach the heater hose. Watch the clocking of the clamp to make sure it doesn't hit the main truss when it's re-installed.

VA also makes a stainless steel heater hose outlet pipe "ëxtender" that brings it out enough so that the hose can be attached without removing the bracketry, it's part# 50101-SUR. This came with my VA FR kit for my BBC.

What combination of fitting/hose end did you use?
