      Fishtail8's Year In Review...

Haven't been around the board much, due to the fact I've been driving the crap outta the 50. It first hit the road mid April and I haven't looked back since.

The summer was filled with road trips, dragstrips, and smiles all around. Last weekend the car rolled over 5000miles since April. It's been roadtripped through Alberta, into BC to Raidum, and back through the twisties in the Rocky Mountains with a distributor and a rear wheel bearing being the only problems so far.

Multiple trips to the dragstrip have turned in a 12.83@105 so far, with a few more late night "good air' sessions left. I'm happy with the result, given the engine doesn't make 400hp (dynoed over 5yrs ago) and has 35000 combined kms between 3 different vehicles.

All in all, I'm satisfied with the way it's gone. Over the winter a bit more bodywork and a fresh engine to hit some 11's. Then next summer, possibly a dip down stateside to rack up more miles. It's what it's all about guys.... drive the **** outta em... I gotta go for a drive...

Thanks guys, to say I've had a blast with this car is an understatement...

Tucks- They're Wheel Vintiques Billet Smoothies 17x8, 17x11's, old look with Pilotsports for good handling.

Chad- It's alot easier to drive an ugly car EVERYWHERE!! Scratches, dents, bugs, road grime doesn't matter! It'll get ironed out eventually.... someday...

Schmoov- Always dug your stuff... thanks

Your close Monza... Pic one is at the Nanton Air Muesum with the restored Lancaster bomber, and yes pic 2 is Frank Slide. That was a great 900 mile roadtrip on a long weekend.

Too bad Racecity's gone, I'd have come down and made a pass or two there...

I love driving my Nomad!! Not that I don't love the Camaro, but the wagon is soooo much easier! I can get in and drive it anywhere in any weather and park it anywhere and not have to worry myself to death about it. I can sit on the fender edge, I can lean against it, I can set stuff on it and I don't have to take an hour to clean it afterwards!! It is soo nice to be able to do that ain't it!?!
      Cool car BTW!
