      1967 firebird vert

Ok The day has finally come. I have been lurking here for a while now. Now its time to post my project. I just received my Rendering from Kris Horton aside from the change on the interior color it is finished. The plans for this car include, an LS3 with a stick. Art morrison sub frame, DSE mini tubs, Moser rear, air ride, 13" wilwood brakes, Forgeline wheels ect. We are also going with a few body mods. Reverse 69 camaro tail lights, only because marquez design doesn't have the firebird lights! 69 camaro front valance, 67 camaro quarters (one of my quarters was missing when i bought the car, and we couldn't find firebird quarters)
The car was in pretty bad shape when i bought it, so we are replacing just about every body panel on this car. I'll post pics of the build when i receive them from my builder.

Haha nah, you were great to work with. The back and forth is all part of the process and it obviously paid off as you now know exactly what you're headed towards with your car!

Very nice Jeff, really wish we could see more of these old 'Birds remain all-Poncho (as opposed to Chebby).

Check out the latest (Oct '08) issue of Hot Rod. They have an article regarding 'putting FI on any motor'. That should alleviate any issues in terms of plugging a Poncho mill in there. Don't forget the beautiful torque a Poncho motor makes. With a stick, that will power out of corners beautifully!

      Best of luck.

      Cheers,
      Brian.

Always good to see another Firebird project, especially a '67 vert! Mine looked about as bad as Brian's when I started.

No rendering. Still undecided on a few things. The car is a real SS 396 car but the drive train was long gone and I am building a hot rod out of it.

Undecided on EFI big block or LS motor. Just think it might be nice to stay with a big block since it was born with one. But the LS7 is very tempting.
