I guess I'll be the one that asks why you're doubting the rendering.
It's your car, and ultimately your decision. If you're honest with yourself, and your reasoning, you can't go wrong either way.
Are you looking to reduce the amount of labor to paint? Worried about resale? Worried about "longevity" of the current two tone trend?

Once you figure out why you're doubting yourself, it will make the decision pretty easy.

      Go with the rendering

I have always liked all black cars also, but your rendering pic looks way nice. All black on the Chevelle with its size would have to have a lot of thought put into the trim and such to keep it from looking like a black hole. My two cents.

I like the rendering myself, not over the top but enough to be unique.

Keep in mind that all the trim on the car is being painted too. There will be no chrome or trim of any kind.

With that in mind I would have to go with the rendering. I wasn't too big of a fan of the late '80's monochromatic look. Especially with black, there's just not enough contrast for the eye.

Not a fan of two-tone paint jobs but...that rendering looks sinister.

It will look like this Black Chevelle

Go with your rendering, Black Chevelles look great like the one below, but yours will be original. But black is good too!

Hello everyone, I've been lurking for a while now but had to register after seeing this post. Ok so I totally love the rendering and think it's a great paint job. Not many like that out there but I do know of ONE car out there with it...MINE!

      Lol, here's a pic.

I also drew up my chevelle and came up with this scheme myself...and I also was wondering if I should go all black...until I painted it all black and just figured it "popped" more with this scheme. Weird!

I'm afraid this is true. They are going the way of pastel 'splash-effect' paint jobs from the Pro-street days.
