they are factory motorized units, not produced for the aftermarket. But they would be a cool addition if someone could figure out how to make them work!

I think as long as you have them aimed correctly you should be fine. The only time I'd see the auto leveling being really helpful is when the trunk is fully loaded and the rear of the car is sagging.

Still, I might try getting an auto-leveling setup out of a BMW just for kicks.

EDIT: Also, just an FYI, all projectors have the cutoff built into them. I originally had some BMW projectors out of my E30 retrofitted in the Nova, and they had the cutoff (I got rid of them because they were low beam only).

Any chance of a tutorial on doing the retrofit, DarkoNova? Aren't there many more pieces other than just the projector itself that must be wire in. Ballasts and whatnot? Very interested...

Anyone know the brand, or where to buy these kind of headlights? Thoughts, comments, concerns?
Not to bring up a dead post but thought I might shed some light on this (no pun intended).

Those are not HID but rather standard halogen H4 lamps. They do show a City Light unit which is interesting though. The halo ring thats installed appears to be an LED fired unit, which I would steer clear of (there are better technologies out there). Most of the LED based halo ring options (other than BMW-ALA Hella) are very weak and proned to fail. These don't appear to be Hella conversions rather something from China/Taiwan. They don't appear to be that bad of a lamp.

However, (shameless plug here.......) we will have some cool 7 and 5-3/4" conversions out that will include HID and our exclusive Devil EyeSS Halo rings pre-installed. I will have some posts up on these shortly.

Will these have projectors, ballasts, and wiring kit?

5-3/4" 4 headlamp kits w/o projectors, with HID or Halogen are available now. Same with 7 inch two headlamp systems.

Soon to be released are projector versions of each of those kits.

Sorry, I just now saw this. I can do one, but it's somewhat involved. The first time I did it, I just tried to make sure the projector was flat and level in the housing. However, doing it that way didn't allow for enough adjustability. I had to take the lights back out, take the projectors out of the housings, and cut the back of the housing at an upward angle so that the projectors are pointing upwards. Now I have plenty of adjustability.

There's more to it then that, like modifying the adjusting "cup" in the core support that the housing sits in, wiring, etc. It would probably be easier to buy the 7" projector kit from Fesler when it's available, assuming it uses good projectors.
