      Lurker - now member

      Hello all,

Considering all the controversy about what is actually "Pro-Touring" I'm not sure exactly how well I fit in, but I've gotten some good ideas from this site as well as some product from active site members.

I've got what started life as a '66 Pontiac Lemans convertible (yeah, I know verts flex). In May I rescued it. At this point the body is media blasted and ep'd. The frame is powdercoated. New suspension is installed. Front is SPC tubular adjustable UCAs, Howe screw in tall ball joints, and performance-touring springs. Rear is Currie Currectrac billet LCAs and billet adjustable UCAs along with performance-touring springs and Edelbrock frame reinforcements. That's tied to a new Moser rear end w/33 spline axles and Truetrac posi. Bilstein shocks all around. All the suspension except shocks courtesy of Mark at SC&C. Tranny is a TREMEC TKO600. Engine isn't done yet, but will be Pontiac 462, forged stroker crank, hydro-roller custom grind cam, KRE heads and some other goodies. You can see some pics of the progress at http://photobucket.com/1966Pontiac
