      Bostitch Framing Gun????

I have plans to stud out a basement, build a playhouse for the kids and then a extra garage.

Looking at the Bostich choices on ebay and reading up on the Bostitch site the guns only seem to vary by # of deg the nail magazine tilts back. 21, 28 or 33 deg.

Given that i'm not going pro as a carpenter and the 21 deg guns are cheaper and more plentifull is this the best choice for me?

The basement will require a lot of toe-nailing. Can't I just turn the gun sideways if the magazine is in the way. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something between the different models.

      Some times I'm fast sometimes I'm half-fast

Buy a paslode, that is all I use daily and get much better service out if it. Even if you just plan to use it on this one project, you can always resale it easier. I think you can buy a brand new one at a local building supply (I can here anyway) for $250 brand new.
Also, be sure and check on nail prices, angled nails usually cost more and you need to have the correct nail for the gun you end up with.

IMO, angle's not a big deal for a framing gun unless you need more nail capacity and can use clipped head nails (round head nails are required by code in some jurisdictions). I've found it's definitely a benefit w/ finish nailers since you're typically working w/ tighter confines (eg, cabinetry).

Don't have personal experience w/ Bostich although they make great tools. I have Paslode, DeWalt & Porter Cable nail guns and they all work great but you do have to maintain them. I love the Paslode since you don't have to haul around a hose and compressor - and call me weird but it smells good when you use it - kind a like gunpowder.

Get the Paslode, more people will want it when you are done and not having to pull a hose is soooo much less frustrating.

I have a clipped head Porter Cable, and it works great.
